In addition to external power supplies (adapters), it also includes internal power supplies used in computers (PCs), servers, data storage equipment, and network communication devices. This brings both consumer-level and enterprise-grade power supplies under the regulatory scope.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Key Points of the Updated Standard<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>GB 20943-2025 introduces stricter requirements for energy efficiency and power consumption, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Energy efficiency grading requirements<\/strong>: Products are classified into Grades 1, 2, and 3. Only products meeting at least Grade 3 efficiency are allowed to be sold in the market.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Multi-load efficiency requirements<\/strong>: Products must meet specified efficiency targets under different load conditions, such as 10%, 20%, 50%, and 100%. The concept is similar to ENERGY STAR and ErP, although the specific constraints are not fully identical.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Standby and no-load power consumption requirements<\/strong>: Stricter limits are imposed on low-power design performance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Power factor (PF) requirements<\/strong>: For high-power products, technical requirements related to their impact on grid power quality are strengthened.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Key Transformation in the Networking and Enterprise Power Supply Market<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This revision of the standard indicates that China\u2019s energy efficiency regulation for enterprise-grade and networking equipment power supplies has entered a significantly higher threshold. In the future, beyond consumer products, applications such as servers, data centers, switches, and networking equipment will place greater emphasis on high efficiency, low standby power consumption, and advanced power management capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>For power supply manufacturers, product energy efficiency performance, low-power control capability, and responsiveness to international efficiency regulations will become key competitive factors in the market.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>APD Proactively Builds High-Efficiency Power Design Capability<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In response to the continuous tightening of global energy efficiency regulations, Asian Power Devices (APD) has already implemented high-efficiency topologies and digital power management.
