APD advocates contract farming of leopard cat fields and contributes to environmental sustainability and symbiosis

As the forerunner of power and electronics and new energy industry and technology, APD is committed to corporate social responsibility. APD takes action to show care to Taiwan’s land, and has been paying attention to the environment and ecological sustainability for a long time. Since 2021, APD has been actively advocated the river basin recovery plan of the leopard cat field. It has become one of the guardians of the leopard cat field river basin and does its own bit to enhance ecological conservation and sustainable environment.

APD has been participating in the adoption of a contracted leopard field for two seasons in 2021. It primarily supports eco-friendly farming practiced by farmers in Tungshiau Township, Miaoli County. Organic rice farming has been carried out to protect the habitat of leopard cats and no toxic or pesticide was used. This plan builds a non-toxic habitat for the endangered leopard cat. Farmland becomes a natural hunting ground for leopard cats, successfully restoring the balance between ecology and economy in the community, and setting an example for ecological conservation. Environmental sustainability and symbiosis are realized between leopard cat, residents, farmers and the entire environment.
